Busy as I was working on two books this year, my output in
terms of articles was minimal. Nevertheless, I did manage to address some
issue confronting Miami, the city that I live in, as well as Mexico, Haiti and a
few other locales. I was also fortunate enough to have my book on the
Democratic Republic of Congo reviewed by Kris Berwouts, an always-perceptive veteran
analyst of that country.
